These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, web applications, mobile applications, SMS communications, and other online services (collectively, the “Services”) offered by Curavit Clinical Research, Inc. (“Curavit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the SynchNeuro study recruitment and pre-screening site at https://synchneuro.com and any related Curavit study websites.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
The Services are intended for adults aged 18 or older who reside in the United States. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
2. Description of the Services
Curavit operates decentralized clinical research studies on behalf of study sponsors. Through the Services, you may:
- Learn about active and upcoming clinical research studies;
- Complete online pre-screening questionnaires to determine potential eligibility;
- Schedule virtual study visits;
- Receive study-related communications by email, phone, and (with your consent) SMS;
- Access study-specific applications and instructions if you enroll in a study.
Completing a pre-screening questionnaire does not guarantee enrollment in a study. Study participation is voluntary and subject to formal informed consent, principal-investigator review, and study-specific eligibility criteria.
3. Not Medical Advice
The Services, including study descriptions, FAQs, and any information delivered by SMS or email, are provided for informational and study-coordination purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they are not a substitute for the professional judgment of a qualified healthcare provider. Always consult your physician or other qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical condition or before making changes to your healthcare regimen.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate medical attention.
4. SMS / Text Message Program
Curavit operates an SMS messaging program to support participants in our research studies. The following terms apply to all SMS messages sent or received through the Services.
4.1 Opt-In. You will receive SMS messages from Curavit only after you affirmatively opt in by checking a clearly labeled, unchecked-by-default consent box on a Curavit pre-screening or enrollment form and providing a valid US mobile number. Opting in is not a condition of participating in any Curavit study; you may decline SMS and instead receive communications by email or phone.
4.2 Message Types. SMS messages may include, without limitation: scheduling links, appointment reminders and confirmations, study application login credentials, missed-visit follow-ups, study status notifications (e.g., screen failure, end of participation), and other transactional communications related to your participation in a Curavit study. We do not use the SMS program for marketing or solicitation.
4.3 Message Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on the study and your stage of participation. A typical participant receives fewer than ten (10) messages over the course of a study. Frequency may be higher during active scheduling or visit windows.
4.4 Message and Data Rates. Standard message and data rates may apply. Rates and capabilities are determined by your wireless carrier. Curavit is not responsible for delayed, undelivered, or unreceived messages caused by your carrier, device, or any other circumstance outside our reasonable control.
4.5 Opt-Out. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, we will send a confirmation, and no further SMS messages will be sent to your number for the program from which you opted out. Opting out of SMS will not remove you from the study itself; the study team will continue to contact you by email or phone where appropriate.

4.7 Supported Carriers. The SMS program is available on most major US wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4.8 Eligibility for SMS. You must be the account holder or have authorization from the account holder of the mobile number you provide, and the number must be a US-based mobile number capable of receiving SMS.
5. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose information about you. Information you provide through pre-screening, scheduling, and study participation is treated as confidential and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. User Conduct
When using the Services, you agree not to:
- Provide information that is false, inaccurate, or that you are not authorized to share;
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Use the Services in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair them, or interfere with any other party’s use;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services, related systems, or other users’ accounts;
- Use any automated means (including bots, scrapers, or crawlers) to access the Services without our prior written consent;
- Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Services — including text, graphics, logos, images, study descriptions, software, and SMS message templates — is owned by Curavit or its licensors and is protected by US and international intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written permission, except as expressly permitted by law.
The “Curavit” and “SynchNeuro” names and logos are trademarks of Curavit Clinical Research and may not be used without our prior written consent.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party tools (for example, scheduling platforms or telehealth providers). We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content, privacy practices, or availability of those third-party services. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and subject to the third party’s terms and privacy policies.
9. Modifications to the Services and Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
CURAVIT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; OR THAT THE SERVICES OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE THEM AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CURAVIT, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT CURAVIT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CURAVIT’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO CURAVIT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, FRAUD, OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY CURAVIT’S NEGLIGENCE, OR FOR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for certain types of damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Curavit and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your use of the Services, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 7, and 10–13) will survive.
